Anna Gratton Ltd produces from their own Feilding mill a range of fully worsted knitting and weaving yarns from 2ply to bulky in weight, many are hand dyed and all being spun from NZ fine wools. An original and stunning range of carded and combed spinning fibres are also produced from home grown Corriedale wool, many being blends with silk and mohair. Knitting patterns, buttons and needles complement this quality range. 2012 will be Anna Gratton Ltd's 30th year of successful business.

The Alpaca Centre

For the first time we will have for sale our own NZ made Alpaca yarns, along with our previously available Peruvian alpaca yarns in a range of plies from ultra fine to textured boucles, in dyed and natural colours. Also knitting kitsets, patterns, buttons and fasteners, garments, socks and gloves, alpaca soft toys and alpaca novelties.

Hallblacks will be bringing these products to Festival:
Over 1000 unusual yarns;
Scarves/garments made from these yarns;
Natural wool products;
Wool sliver;
Large wooden knitting needles/crochet hooks

Mecchia Looms
Mecchia looms will have on display, for sale and being demonstrated:
a Mecchia 16 shaft Loom, fitted with an electronic lifting attachment,
other weaving tools including a selection of shuttles, electric pirn winder, tapestry stand and more.
A Mecchia Spinning Wheel will also be available.
People will be able to ‘have a go’ on these units.

Bringing more than slogans, David and Katharine from Teri Dyes are coming to the Creative Fibre Festival in Marlborough with a selection of their best dyes, recipes, chemicals and experience. Teri Dyes is bringing
Dyes for Wool … dyes proven through decades to work effortlessly with silk, mohair, angora, possum and all animal fibres;
Dyes for Cottons that also work with rayon, linen, tensel and other cellulosic fibres,
Dyes for Flax and raffia.
Small pottles and large. Salts and acid. Leveling agents, wetting agents and scouring chemicals for those that want those.
Throughout the Festival we’ll be looking too at ways of rewarding excellence, or just adventure, in the use of colour by exhibiting craftspeople.

Southern Alpacas will be bringing their luscious bright silk and alpaca blends as well as colourful scarf knit kits for your indulgence.

And in the dozen natural colours of alpaca will be raw cria fleece, carded alpaca, and natural yarns in 8 ply, 4 ply and 2 ply.

Of course all our products are from our own fine alpacas, truly New Zealand grown, processed and made (except for the added silk!).
